Black Piece of

I recycled everything I consumed over a 3-month period and turn it into a hanging piece that by association resembled the earth and the recycling of organic matter. That was “black piece of”, a smelly piece made from the blending of my own recycling (the blender exploded at some point), dyed in black and stuck together with glue. In spite of its organic, topographical, watery look, this was absolutely contrived and anthropocene like. I thought it looked like the debris from a plane crash at some point. In the end, I realized the only thing I had actually managed to produce was paper mache.

An excerpt as a way of being present n going

How is the artist present as a viewer?
How do we respond to the immediacy and daily necessity of an art practice?
Can we create a library of thoughts and affects?
It is by extending your thoughts and encounters to the pieces of paper (or digital paper) you have around that you manage to keep track of daily reflections?
Is conversation a way of making art?
